For a light and airy summer jumper, I recommend using a cotton or linen yarn. These materials are breathable and pleasant to wear on the skin. Then do a swatch test to make sure that you are using the right needle size and that your knitting tension is correct. Make a swatch. This way your jumper will and has the desired measurements. The advantage of RVO is that you can changes can be made during the knitting process.
