For a light and airy summer jumper, I recommend using a yarn made of cotton or linen. These materials are breathable and comfortable to wear. Before you start knitting, choose the right needle size. Then do a swatch test to make sure you are using the right needle size and that your knitting tension is correct. This way your jumper will fit and have the desired measurements. RVO has the advantage that changes can be made while knitting.
